KMS Arbitration Update...AOAO Arbitration Attorneys ALL Abruptly Abandon Ship.

Who's Next To Go?

In the wake of multiple motions and rulings going against the AOAO and other respondents, multiple attorneys representing the AOAO and various individual board members give up a cushy paycheck and walk away...following in the footsteps of the former AOAO Management Company, Hawaiiana, who quit before the end of 2022, forcing the AOAO to scramble to find another management company willing to work with them. Some fear this trend may put the nail in the coffin of all KMS owners as other professionals and service providers steer clear of the questionable decision-making and judgement of the KMS leadership. While the attorneys of record for these parties are still technically representing their respective clients until replacements can be found, they are all on their way out.

Are KMS owners curious about why so many high-level professionals would freely walk away from such (normally) desired work of this nature?

There can be many reasons for attorneys to resign but some KMS owners have their own theories...

"They don't seem to care at all about how the consequences of their actions affect the rest of the buildings owners. They seem to me unprofessional, unorganized and worse", states one KMS owner. Almost three years on what was supposed to be a twelve week project beginning in September of 2020. "I am worried that they're going to bring the whole building down with their ship unless the owners unite and force changes to correct this...new leadership to start."
